In honour of my second solo exhibition ‘A selection of slightly frightening drawings‘ which has gotten off to a great start I wanted to give something back as a thank you… and what better way to introduce my scarily super new stickers and pocket mirrors than a giveaway! Up for grabs are a super shiny Monsters of Love pocket mirror and awesome clear gloss sticker (these look pretty nice stuck on your Mac, bike, guitar…) set to one lucky winner. To enter, tell me your biggest fear! You’ve got a few different ways of doing it:
1. On twitter: ‘@nicolarowlands might give me a sticker and mirror if I tell her I’m scared of ——‘
2. Stick your scary statement as a comment on my facebook wall
3. Leave your frightful footnote as a comment on this blogpost
I will choose a winner on Friday September 10th
I’m pretty scared of waves and large groups of people. You?
Here is the newest addition to my range of stuff… they are the most delightful little pocket mirrors. I have a set of 5 designs… here are the first three. I will release another in a day or two and the final design will be saved for the launch night of my exhibition, Don’t Wait Up For Me… on the 29th of August. If you are interested in buying a mirror for yourself they are for sale in my shop. Alternatively, if you live in Manchester/want to buy quite a few/are intereseted in having some to sell in your own shop, just get in touch! Have a great day 🙂
I’m so so excited to let you know I’ve got my second exhibition! From the 29th of August until 28th November at the Art of Tea in Didsbury. You are invited to the celebration launch night on the 29th August. If you’ve not yet visited the Art of Tea you’re in for a real treat… stop by from 7:30pm for a few beers, some delicious pizza and sweet music by Laurence Boot. I’ll be there and so will my selection of brand-new-never-before-seen- merchandise. Oh, and some drawings by me on the walls 🙂
Go to the Art of Tea blog for more info. Really really hope to see you there ♥ Lots of love x x
A friend I went to High School with in Chicago now runs a fashion and music blog called Stic Of The Week. She writes about who’s who and what’s what in the world of festivals and being cool and wearing wayfarers and stuff. I did her a little blog header redesign, trying to keep it festival-y and music-y.
She is using the little birdy as their twitter avatar and I’ve also just done her some business cards for her to hand out at Lollapalooza. I’ll post photos of the cards soon.
I have a new product for sale in my shop. It is a pack of three postcards. Three different designs packaged up in a cello bag. Perfect for posting or framing as a set. You can also purchase single cards in my etsy shop, if it’s just the one card you’re after… but make sure you let me know which design you would like to receive when placing your order. Happy sailing 🙂
I’ve done another little gift pack which is up now in my etsy shop. Contains a page of mini stickers, an El Magico original giclee print (one of a run of only 32,) a Nicola Rowlands postcard and a super awesome leather coin purse. Only six dollars!
In the next few weeks I am going to start selling goody bags in my etsy shop. The first bag is up for sale now. This pack contains a set of mini stickers, a postcard, a “Let my love open the door to your heart” mini-card and a super cool little plate that is perfect for holding spare change, usb sticks, paperclips etc that clutter up your desk. Packaged up with love and posted first class to your door. Perfect to buy and give as a gift to a friend, or a gift to yourself. For sale here ♥
For those of you who were fans of the bicycle print that appeared in the Things To See exhibition at Odd Bar in 2009, I give you the Bantam Belle Pillow Case! Available to buy in three varying sizes starting at €19.99. The case is printed on 100% 230gr/m² cotton and washable at 80°C without fading. The front shows the bike illustration and the back is a delicious grey with a little yellow heart. Hope you love it as much as I do ♥
