I’m a lumberjack and I’m OK

Blogger Michael Williams who writes A Continuous Lean, a beautifully styled site,  posted this interesting article from Newsweek about the rise of classic American clothing.  I was so glad that he made the point ‘Like all things in life, moderation is key. Otherwise, it is a costume’  because having lived in the USA for 9 years I find it amusing to see the LL Bean backpacks and raincoats I used to loathe in school replacing nu rave sweaters on the backs of hipsters around Manchester.  Quite ironic that this type of clothing is made to last…

Stumbling around

picture-82picture-91picture-22picture-23I sometimes visit the tasteful and stylish blog of an Australian lady who used to be a designer at my boyfriend’s place of work.   It’s funny because I noticed her mentioned in an article by Ben Law in frankie magazine.  I stumbled across the article coincidentally and then came across her blog completely by accident.  She keeps popping up but I’ve never met her.  My point is, thanks to Vic’s blog, I have come across this wonderful photographer.  I present to you the beautiful work of Erika Svensson. Maybe my boyfriend will now realise that when I take photos of the back of his head it’s not because I don’t like the front of it- other people do it too…
